United Way of Greater Kansas City

Broadcast spot for United Way of Greater Kansas City

Two States. One city. One United Way.

United Way of Greater Kansas City

One Organization. One Kansas City.

I didn’t grow up in Kansas City, but it was a city I grew to love. United Way of Greater Kansas City wanted a TV spot that was more than just a re-skin of the national campaign— it needed to communicate the legacy (almost 100 years) and scope (more than 100 organizations) of their service. United Way’s nationwide campaign uses “Live United,” while the local chapter has been using “Here for Good,” but I wanted to give them something all their own.

Working with a local production company on a look and feel, I centered my script around the idea of “United as one.” One Kansas City, one United Way, but many groups that reap its benefits. It was important to the client that donors to see where their money goes, so we picked a few organizations from within their main service pillars that we felt would be compelling. For my first TV spot, it’s not too shabby.
